All their storage solutions feature on-the-fly 100% hardware-based encryption utilizing AES-XTS 256-bit encryption, satisfying US DoD FIPS PUB 197 requirements. This means that the US Federal government, including the Department of Defense and the US Military, are authorized to use those products. While all their drives employ the same encryption and stringent security, only select models have undergone official FIPS 140-2 certification.
